Thanks to the cooperation of Mother Nature (who brought us sunshine) for our parade, and with the participation of boaters, residents and visitors, it was a great year!<br /><br />A new committee of boaters will organize the 2007 Flotilla since The Canadian Tulip Festival is unable to include the Flotilla in their program this year.<br /><br /><br />The OTTAWA FLOTILLA is a high profile entertainment event involving boaters, schools, charities, families, corporations, musicians, artists and cultural groups. Activities are focused at Dows Lake Pavilion, and the Rideau Canal<br />The Ottawa Flotilla is an interactive showcase of creativity and energy, on the water and on shore.<br /><br /><br />The official name of the event is now Ottawa Flotilla – 2007. Several names were suggested and after a thorough discussion, the name was unanimously accepted.<br /><br /><br />The dates for Ottawa Flotilla 2007 will be Saturday and Sunday, May 19th and 20th, 2007. Traditionally, the Flotilla has been held on this long weekend in May, and for many reasons, committee members and meeting attendees confirmed that this is still the best time to hold the event.<br /><br /><br />As in previous years, there will be no charge for docking at Dows Lake Marina on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night of Flotilla weekend.
